(it’s okay, huntsman, he means that in a romantic way)
“So you expect me to roll over like a dog and let you slaughter me?” he growls threateningly, blue eyes snapping from the stranger’s face to their surroundings, attempting to see if there might be any way out of this.
The stranger laughs, though the sound is far from amused. Those frighteningly intense grey eyes flash, and the huntsman wonders if there is more at stake here than he first imagined.
The white horse moves closer, its rider still watching him with an unflinchingly severe expression. He glowers, trying his damnedest not to act like the cornered animal he’s beginning to feel like.
“My dear huntsman,” the man’s voice is gentler this time, almost calming. He doesn’t trust it. “I have no intention of killing you.”
“Oh? Then how exactly d’you propose to carve my heart out of my chest, then?” he snaps back, rising to his full height in order to keep as much distance between them as possible.
“I want your heart, huntsman,” the stranger repeats, leaning slightly over his horse’s neck. “I want it wholly and completely.”
He bares his teeth, confused and conflicted. “You think you can just toy with me like this? I’ve been given a mission and threatened with death if I don’t complete it. You think you can meddle in the Queen’s affairs with no worry of retribution or punishment?”
The stranger’s lips part, revealing impossibly straight white teeth bared in a hungry smirk. “Oh yes,” he replies. “I am quite beyond her jurisdiction.”
“Who are you?!” he shouts, nearing the end of his already frayed patience.
“You know who I am,” the stranger says, and for the briefest instant, the huntsman could swear that he saw a flash of green in the complicated depths of those eyes. “Brother.”

Part 1 of my Loki Helm, Horns. (Part 2)
Before I explain anything I want to say DO NOT USE EXPANDING FOAM, it is evil. Seriously use the pink stuff.
Also sorry for all the pictures of me holding these to my head, I really just couldn’t stop.
Ok so a brief walk through of this thing here:
First I made a cross skeleton out of cardboard. You do this by cutting out two pieces of cardboard that are the shape you want and cutting out two more that are just straight and taper at the appropriate places then slice each half way through and slide them together. If you are still confused (understandably via my explaining skills) hold up your hands and make them Live Long and Prosper then Scissor your hands together and this is how you cross skeleton cardboard.
So then what I did (which you should NOT DO) was have no money and grab the first foam-like-substance around, which happened to be expanding foam.
Why not to use this:
- It is harder to shave down
- it has lots and lots of holes you have to spend extra time filling
- It doesn’t sand down nicely at all and it took forever to sand down
- it said your mom was ugly
- it sticks to everything worse then superglue, it will rip the flesh from your hands.
- IT CONTINUES TO EXPAND I am still fixing little cracks that show up regularly from it shifting.
Anyways it’s the same process for the pink foam but its way faster. For the pink foam you want to cut wedged and glue them to the skeleton then shave them down with a razor or exacto roughly into the shape you want (with the expanding foam I sprayed it on, shaved it down, hated it, ripped it off, sprayed it on and shaved it down again).
Then get yourself a FACE MASK (or wear a bandana or something DO NOT SAND FOAM WITH OUT A FACE COVER it will be in your nose, gross), grab some really fine sand paper (I used 400 and 600), and start sanding. Watch a movie while you sand this takes a little time. When it’s the shape you want (not smooth just closer) Get some lightweight spackling it looks like marshmallows and feels like powdered sugar. Apply a THIN coat of the spackling filling in any holes or imperfections in the foam and let it dry overnight. Then get your FACE MASK again and sand some more, sand it smooth, put another thin coat on, let it dry, sand it smooth, repeat till you are satisfied. Sand it with the really small grit paper, I think I used 800.
Get some Mod Podge, I think I did two coats, It’s flexible and glossy so it makes a good sealer.
I spray painted them with metallic gold spray paint and then I used Run N Buff to gold it the color I wanted because the spray paint looks like aluminum.
Then I sealed that with Future floor seal just out of personal preference because of this tutorial.
Special Thanks to JustGodlyEnough for all the help!
